Configuring the App Store to install large apps on external disks
This is a new feature in MacOS Sequoia and is a big win for users who want to use minimal disk space. After all, the base MAC Mini is incredible value, but only comes with 256GB of flash storage. Good news? You can add storage via external USB-C and Thunderbolt drives, then install larger apps on external drives from the App Store.
Step 1: Open the App Store.
Step 2: Open the Appstore Settings via the menu bar.
Step 3: Click the following checkbox Download and install the large app on another disk.
Step 4: Select an external drive.
Apps downloaded from the App Store over 1GB size will be automatically downloaded and installed on external storage. However, make sure it’s fast external storage. We recommend Samsung’s speedy T9 drive. This is a good idea to provide a big bang for the back. Otherwise, it could affect the performance of your app.

Add a web app to the dock
MacOS Sequoia makes it easy to add web apps to your Dock via Safari. This is useful for adding threads and Blueky links directly to the dock.
Step 1: Open Safari and open the website you want to convert to a web app.
Step 2: Click on the File in the menu bar and select Add to dock.
The web app is stored permanently in the dock and acts as a standalone non-Safari application using individual cookies. They have their own app icons that will appear on your LaunchPad, receive notifications and customize your settings.
Remove the window tile margin
Sequoia has added much-needed native window tile functionality. This allows you to quickly create a tiled layout by dragging the window onto the side of the screen or using keyboard shortcuts. By default, tiled windows have margins that create small gaps between each window. Here’s how to remove window tile margins:
Step 1: Open System Settings.
Step 2: Click (Desktop and Dock).
Step 3: Scroll down to disable it Tiled windows have margins Set under Windows heading.
Double-click on the title bar to maximize the window
You can first double-click on the title bar of another MacOS Sequoia: window, and instead of performing the odd zoom function, you can maximize the window and fill the screen.
Step 1: Open System Settings.
Step 2: Click Desktop and Dock.
Step 3: Under the dock heading, click the following dropdown box Double-click the window’s title bar Select Fill.
Stops displaying the desktop when you click on the wallpaper
This is one of the most annoying recent features added to MacOS. Click on the wallpaper and your desktop will automatically display it, hiding everything else. It’s a cool feature, but it’s not implemented well. Instead, it’s better to do that using a hot corner shortcut. Anyway, here’s how to stop this:
Step 1: Open System Settings.
Step 2: Click Desktop and Dock.
Step 3: Under the Desktop & Stage Manager heading, click the following dropdown box Click on the wallpaper to view the desktopand select Only with stage manager.
