Report: M4 Macbook Air and Base iPad Display Panel Ship is likely to be released soon, early 2025
Tomorrow, Apple is celebrating the biggest product launch of the year as the iPhone 16, Apple Watch Series 10 and Airpods 4 arrive in the store. The company has not yet announced this year. And today, leading analysts report on some of the expected Apple products in early 2025: the M4 MacBook Air and Base Model iPad.
The panel schedule refers to early 2025 releases
In a new subscriber-only post for X, display analyst Ross Young reports on two upcoming Apple products.
He says it is expected that the new M4 MacBook Air display panel shipments and the updated 10.9-inch iPad will be launched in October. This includes both 13-inch and 15-inch air models.
Panel shipments are usually several months ahead of the actual product sold. So we’re looking at the early release dates of these new devices in 2025.
This report supports previous expectations for the MacBook Air. Markgerman said it was set for the first quarter of 2024.
However, for the rest of 2024, we have been questioning Apple’s iPad plans.
Rumors show that Apple will update its full iPad lineup this year. In May I got a new iPad Pro and iPad Air model. The iPad Mini 7 is scheduled to debut next month, and the base model iPad is also scheduled to debut.
But now, the standard iPad may have to wait a few extra months. Or perhaps Apple is planning to revise multiple iPads. One will come in October and the other will come in spring as another SKU.
You know the time, but Young has a strong track record including display-related reports. So whether Apple still has another iPad coming out this fall, it appears the company has something in stock for the beginning of 2025.
