Ever Trend Zone Today is Veterans Day and Apple celebrates it in several different ways. The Apple Watch Activity Challenge is available with new time episodes available through the Limited Time Award and Apple Fitness+.
You will also notice that banners on Apple’s websites served veterans and reminded them of the veterans and military purchasing program.
The Veterans Day Apple Watch Activity Challenge encourages users to complete training for at least 11 minutes.
You will win this award on November 11th by training for more than 11 minutes. Record your time with training apps and apps that add training to your health.
Record data in Apple’s Fitness App After successfully completing the challenge with the Workout app, you can unlock virtual achievements on the iPhone, Apple Watch, and Apple’s messaging app. You can also access exclusive stickers that can be used in messaging apps, FaceTime, and more.
You can also complete the challenge using Apple Fitness+. This is Apple’s proprietary training service that offers content in a variety of categories.
Speaking of Apple Fitness+, there are also new episodes of time that can be used with former US Army soldier Jr Martinez. Apple says:
JR Martinez is a veteran, actor and motivational speaker in the US military. He appeared in the popular daytime soap opera “All My Children” and won season 13 of the television series “Dancing With the Stars.” While serving in the Iraq War, Jr suffered a life-changing injury. On this walk he reflects on how the healing process rethinks his sense of purpose. He also talks about what influenced the change in how he relate to others.
On social media today, Tim Cook thanked the veterans for their services.

Finally, Apple’s website reminds shoppers that current and veteran members of the US military, National Guard and reserve are eligible for a 10% discount. Neighbors who live in the same household are also eligible. Please note that this offer is always available and is not particularly limited to Veterans’ Day.
