Speaking about the benefits of this hack, Malaika Arora said:

Is there science behind this rubber band trick?

This hack may seem new to some, but it actually comes from the Korean beauty trend that attracted attention for Tiktok. The idea is that wearing a rubber band on your ear for about 10 minutes stimulates lymph drainage.

However, medical professionals have not suggested trying this hack. Dermatologist Dr. Mona Chauhan places emphasis on the trends of this virus. “Using rubber bands on the ears as a way to reduce facial swelling is not only ineffective, they can be harmful, and can lead to many side effects, including skin irritation, bruises, nerve compression, or impaired blood circulation.

“If swelling is permanent or concerning, it is always best to consult your dermatologist or doctor to find out the cause,” added Dr. Chauhan. So, Malaika may think it is useful, but this method is not medically approved and should be approached with caution.
