Today, Apple officially unveiled the Watchos 26 alongside the iOS 26, iPados 26, TVOS 26, Visionos 26 and Macos Tahoe 26. Are you wondering if Apple Watch will run a new system? Here is the complete compatibility list.

Alongside the rest of the Named OS lineup, the Watchos 26 brings a refreshed look, a new smart fitness experience called the Workout Buddy, and an easy way to manage notifications.

Here is the complete list of models that can run Watchos 26:

  • Apple Watch SE (2nd generation)
  • Apple Watch Series 6
  • Apple Watch Series 7
  • Apple Watch Series 8
  • Apple Watch Series 9
  • Apple Watch Series 10
  • Apple Watch Ultra
  • Apple Watch Ultra 2

Watchos 26 requires an iPhone 11 or later running iOS 26. This means that we removed support for iPhone X due to minimum requirements.

As with previous updates, if you have an older Apple Watch that created the cut, certain features may not be available.
