MacOS Tahoe 26 Developer Beta 1 is now available. Here’s how to install it:
Apple has put together the keynote speech for WWDC 2025 and announced new features on all platforms, including iOS 26 and Watchos 26. As expected, the first developer beta for the Macos Tahoe 26 is already live. Here’s how to install it:
Once the event ended, Apple released developer beta 1 for the Macos Tahoe 26. And while the public beta will be released next month, both regular users and developers can release it immediately.
Here’s how to install MacOS Tahoe 26 Developer Beta 1:
- Back up your Mac
- Open System Settings
- Go to general software updates
- Click the “i” icon next to the beta update
- Select MacOS Developer Tahoe Beta from the drop-down menu on the top right
- Hit “done”

Apple warns that beta software is not intended for devices that it relies on in daily use, and that’s for good reason. The first beta can be a little rough, but certain betas can break apps and features during the cycle. Stability and reliability vary widely from beta to beta, so install with great care.
