Ever Trend Zone Apple’s latest original film, Bono: Stories of Surrender, is streamed on Apple TV+. And if you happen to own a Vision Pro, there is also an immersive version where you’ll be on stage with the U2 frontman himself. Well, sort of.
Directed by musical documentary Andrew Dominique (One More Sense), the new film mixes Bono’s solo stage show, spoken language storytelling and animated visuals drawn from the singer’s own sketches.
The film is based on Bono’s 2022 memoir, Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story, and explores key moments in Bono’s artistic and personal life. The documentary also features intimate productions of classic U2 songs, as well as footage from his recent stage tour.
Two ways to see it
The flat version available on the Apple TV app via iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV devices did not require a headset. However, if you’re watching Vision Pro, there are some movies that make the most of 8K video, spatial audio, and 180-degree field of vision.
At 1 hour and 26 minutes long, the documentary is the longest immersive video released on Apple Vision Pro. However, to be clear, this is not a real, full-length, immersive video. Rather, there are normal 2D scenes and woven 3D scenes. Still, for Bono or U2 fans, it’s a treat.

In an interview earlier this month, Bono spoke about his experience shooting immersive videos, Apple’s ambitions for the platform, and his acceptance of a steep price tag tag.
“We know that Apple wants to make Vision Pro more affordable and democratic, but they’re committed to innovation and they’re committed to experimentation. They don’t think everyone can afford this, but they believe they still want it.
In any case, the Immersive Edition of the film is available free of charge on the Apple TV app on Vision Pro, along with recent releases such as Submerged and the recent Metallica Immersive Experience.
On the other hand, the Apple TV+ version requires a regular $9.99/month subscription. This also gives you access to television shows and movies such as Severance, The Studio, The Morning Show, Shrinking, and Silo.
