This site is a pixelated collection of bliss, and whether you’re already feeling ambiguous inside or don’t know what I’m talking about, you don’t want to miss this.

A few years before Apple was released Appearance Managerwhen I allowed users to natively customize the GUI on Mac OS 8, I had KaleIdoscope. “Ultimate user interface customization allows you to completely overhaul your Mac’s user interface using plugin color scheme files,” the project description states.
KaleIdoscope offers an easy way to apply themes easily across the system, and even after releasing the hot hours before Steve Jobs killed it when Apple returned to Apple, it remained the tool of choice for most Mac customization enthusiasts. That’s why Apple has announced a tool that makes it easy to import kaleidoscope themes into your appearance manager scheme. The tool was not released.
After the release of Mac OS X, KaleIdoscope stopped working. Like WinAmp Skins and Geocities web pages, these themes have been lost in time by now.
