Issey Miyake’s Spring/Summer 2025 campaign spotlights ‘The Beauty of Paper’ collection. Handmade paper was the inspiration for the design. Photographer Jamie Hawkesworth captures these sculptural pieces in serene environments where light and shadow interact to highlight the textures worn by model Betsy Gaghan.
The soft yet structured design reflects the lightweight yet grounded nature of paper, providing both movement and clarity. In one striking image, an oversized beige coat with folds recalls the texture and versatility of raw paper.

Another frame depicts Betsy in a ribbed white fabric, whose flowing silhouette recalls a poetic, sunlit scroll. The calm, earthy tones of the architecture create a harmonious backdrop.
The campaign, styled by Brian Molloy, emphasizes the connection between design and nature. Each look conveys a meditative elegance, further amplified by Kanako Takase’s minimal makeup and Shingo Shibata’s natural hair styling.
