Ever Trend Zone Following the success of Severance, Apple TV+ is rolling out one after another with engaging new shows. And coming soon is MurderBot, a new sci-fi dark comedy that could still be one of the best, based on its released trailer.
MurderBot Trailer arrives ahead of AppleTV+ debut next month
MurderBot is a series that goes against the genre of part-science fees, some workplace comedy, with fun action thrown in.
The show will premiere on Apple TV+ Friday, May 16th The first two episodes will be dropping every week until July 11th.
Here’s the Apple summary of the show:
Based on Martha Wells’ bestseller Hugo and Nebra Award-winning book series The Murderbot Diaries, Murderbot is a sci-fi thriller/comedy about self-hacking security structures that are terrifying to human emotions but attracted to its vulnerable clients. Murder Bot, played by Skarsgård, hides his free will and all he actually wants is to watch the melodrama of the future and leave it alone to grasp its place in space, and complete the dangerous tasks.
The first trailer has just been released and looks like a winner.
High hopes for a long murder stage running on AppleTV+
This first season of MurderBot is based entirely on the first book in the series by Martha Wells. All systems are redyou can get Apple books.
If the show proves successful, there are many additional books that will serve as source material for future seasons.
I read the first Murderbot Diaries The book, I wasn’t even sure how well it translated into a TV show, why it was tone and genre, and even the first person voice of the series.
But based on at least this two-minute preview, Apple appears to have made a compelling adaptation. I can’t wait for next month.
