Perfect Strikeout for iPad: Apple Bats 0-3 with new app
Apple may have been hitting a home run with the new iPhone app recently, but it’s completely impressive when it comes to iPad support.
Until the first plate, it was a Journal, an iPhone-only app that arrived on iOS 17.2. Apple used iOS and iPads 18 to knock out the journal from the park and take another shot. The iPhone version received a lot of love, but the iPad version remained on the bench.
A year ago, Apple really used Apple Sports on their iPhone to step into the plate. The app is much better with recent updates, but still only on the iPhone. Countdown continues to check the first of the Apple Sports widget or Apple Sports iPad version.
So let’s go out for a ball game, but don’t expect an invitation from your iPad. Apple’s new Invites app allows you to send invitations to any device, but there is no iPad app yet.
At least working on the iPhone version of sports and invitations on the iPad.
The iPad version of Journal is not particularly disappointing for iPad users. This is because it is a system app and has not been downloaded separately from the App Store. This means that users can’t even run the iPhone version. This works in stage manager mode and looks good.
iPad users may have thought that the era of Apple’s iPhone-only apps is over. Apple has finally brought both the weather and the calculator to the iPad. However, these very interesting and actually useful project apps exist only on the iPhone for now.
Apple is pitching powerful games with the latest apps, but when it comes to getting an iPad version across your home plate, it may be time to break into the nearest.
