Apple TV+ is currently airing one of the best reviewed comedies of all time, Seth Rogen’s The Studio. But the TV+comedy that always lives in our hearts and minds is now preparing for a new season. Everything you know about Ted Lasso season 4.

Season 4 is finally official

Questions about Ted Lasso’s fourth season have been ongoing as season 3 aired.

However, there is a wealth of evidence that the show will make a return for Season 4, especially over the past six months. Others include teasing from executives, series star and co-creator Bill Lawrence, contract renewals, production officially scheduled.

Finally, on March 14, 2025, Apple made it official.

Matt Cherniss, head of Apple TV+ programming, said:

“Ted Lasso has inspired Juggernaut as well as passionate fanbase around the world, bringing endless joy and laughter while spreading kindness, compassion and unwavering beliefs. Everyone at Apple is thrilled to continue collaborating with the incredible creative mind behind this show. ”

New season cast members and creative team

Early reports show that the majority of the Ted Lasso cast is expected to return to Season 4. This is great news as the show’s ensemble is its core strength.

Several actors have already featured contract options, but negotiations continue with other actors.

One of the missing players in the new season is Phil Dunster, also known as Jamie Tartt. Dunster reportedly encountered scheduling issues to try to take part in a new season, but guest appearances aren’t an issue.

There is a particularly noteworthy addition to Ted Lasso’s new season of creative teams.

As highlighted in the Apple announcement press release, Jack Burditt (No one wants, Modern Family, 30 Rock) has signed as executive producer. He apparently helps Sudeikis lead the writer’s room. This is exciting considering Burdit’s strong track record.

Jason Sudekis is back, but perhaps his role is reduced

The man behind the mustache, Jason Sudeikis, may not have that big of a presence in Ted Lasso’s new season.

His Podust Matt Band town Based on what he heard, Sudeikis said it would not be present throughout the entire new season.

There will be many, many returning cast members. However, Sudeikis is minimized in the show.

Whether this turns out to be true or not, we hope to see a lot of TEDs in Season 4. Probably not as much as before.

This is not at all surprising as Lasso has already returned a bit to Season 3 and already a bit to give the strong ensemble time to shine. Season 4 can follow the same approach.

Season 4 introduces AFC Richmond’s first women’s team

As Judge Sigmund first reported, one of the main story threads for the new season is the formation of the women’s team at AFC Richmond.

Jason Sudeikis confirmed this in his recent podcast look.

“We’re writing four of this season. That’s the official word. Ted is coaching a female team.”

While the boys team is very likely to be a big part of the show, Richmond is looking to expand its offering by adding a women’s team for the first time.

Time to Expect Season 4 on Apple TV+

Originally, production of Ted Lasso Season 4 was expected to begin earlier this year. It didn’t happen, and now the latest report of the spring pegs production start.

That said, there are still many unknowns that make it difficult to identify an interim Apple TV+ debut date.

It seems unlikely that a new Lasso episode will arrive in 2025. However, assuming they’re coming out of this year, season 4 should arrive in at least 2026.

Apple TV+ is available for $9.99 a month and features television shows and movies such as Ted Lasso, Severance, Morning Show, Silos and Shrinks.
