The origin assistant has now officially received the certification of matter, which makes it 100% officially compatible.

Previously, the characteristics of the home issue were only in beta, but the certification, granted by the alliance of connectivity standards (CSA), makes the start assistant an official member of the Matter Smart Home Club.

The certification actually comes in two parts: Home Assistant itself is now a “user interface component” certified, while the Open Home Foundation Matter server has been certified as a “software component.”

The latter is actually the first open source project to achieve CSA certification.

For existing attendees of attendees, the certification does not really change; The support of the matter will continue to be updated and refined as new versions are implemented.

However, this recognition serves as a sign of trust for new users and manufacturers, reinforcing the origin assistant as a reliable platform for subject devices.

Certification should also mean that more brands are involved in the Works program with Home Assistant, which already includes products enabled for the subject such as Aqara Smart Lock U200.

A free tool, the start assistant only requires a basic PC as a Raspberry Pi to execute. Once installed, you can connect it to hundreds of devices, thanks to your integrations, which gives you a single place to control everything in your home.

In addition, it is compatible with Homekit, so it allows you to control devices that are not normally compatible with the start application.
