Ever Trend Zone Apple today announced a new version of its software that will enhance Apple TV and TVOS 26. The new update heading feature is an updated visual design. Apple calls this new design “Liquid Glass.”
As for new features, TVOS 26 includes updates to Apple Music Sing and enhancements to profile switching.
The new OS design uses real-time rendering to refract surrounding colors to other UI elements. Apple says the design is intended to keep content at the heart of the content, allowing you to enjoy TV shows and movies.
The TV app uses liquid glass to showcase new poster art. The home screen has updated icons with depth and mirror highlights.
Apple Music Sing has been upgraded with TVOS 26. Now you can actually start the Sing-Along Party using your iPhone as a handheld microphone. Friends can use their own iPhone to add songs to the karaoke queue and respond to on-screen emojis.
Profile Switching is a little more convenient with TVOS 26, with the setting that automatically displays the Profile Chooser UI when your Apple TV wakes up from sleep. This allows you to easily jump into a person’s individual watchlist with the TV app.
You can also enjoy a new aerial screensaver, and choose the AirPlay speaker as your permanent speaker for your Apple TV. This feature was previously reserved only on HomePods.
