WatchOS 26 Update Removes 5 Faces from Apple Watch
The Apple Watch has nearly 60 faces, and the Watchos 26 is much more optimized than before the Apple Watch Series 10. However, this isn’t all the good news for the Watchos 26 as Apple continues to disrupt the Watch’s face through software updates.
Last year, Apple cut four watch faces with a WatchOS 11 software update. The expanded widgets have surprisingly replaced the Siri Watch Face, but Apple has removed analog chronographs, explorer, and numeric watches.
Since then, Apple has introduced harmony and unified rhythms of flux, reflection, pride.
Apple did not show off the new watch face as part of the Watchos 26. It will probably come with new hardware in September. Instead, Apple will return to removing the Watch Face option with five more retirements.

Apple shared a behind-the-scenes look at how some of these faces were created when they were introduced.
At the time, Apple designer Alan Dye explained to Hodinkee why the company used practical elements rather than digital effects to create some of these currently discontinued faces.
Perhaps we could have done this digitally, but we actually filmed all of this in the studio. What I like about the fact that we did this is that it shows how the design team works. It was really about bringing together some of our different talents and making these faces. Of course, there are not only art directors, colour experts, and graphic designers, but also model makers who helped build these structures.
A fire broke out and contains liquid glass. I’m happy that my Apple Watch Series 10 has updated a few seconds on the analog side I actually use.
