Ever Trend Zone Things have been quiet these days on the Apple Watch. It’s too quiet. In fact, sales have been declining for the second year in a row, with Xiaomi surpassing Apple to become the top wearable brand around the world.
The good news is that the Apple Watch line is going to be refreshed. This is what comes.
Apple Watch SE 3 (or how to: Apple Watch Series 11e?)
It’s been almost three years since Apple announced the Apple Watch SE 2. It maintained the same overall design from the original SE, gained a 30% larger display, an S8 SIP processor, and gave a 20% performance bump. In September this year, Apple plans to announce its successor.
Hardware and Software
Rumors have been circulating for the past few months about Apple replacing current aluminum cases with “hard plastic” cases, but these plans appear to have been shelved.
There were no leaks regarding the increase in case or screen size, but it makes sense that the options are expected to be 40/44mm to the current 42/46mm, or bezel reductions.
Also, expecting a SIP upgrade, it will be comparable to the Series 11 lineup. This is very welcome for the S8 SIP of the current Series 8 era of SE 2.

In addition to rumors of material change, there were rumours about Apple falling prices for entry-level watches. But that doesn’t seem like the recent tariff turmoil and the apparent reversal of Apple’s plans to change materials.
It’s safe to expect the Apple Watch SE 3 to start at the same $249 as the current version. It’s safe in case Apple decides to send iPhone SE methods to Apple Watch SE and introduces a more expensive entry-level Apple Watch Series 11E.
Apple Watch Series 11
In 2024, we celebrated the 10th anniversary of the release of the Apple Watch. However, 2025 marks the 10th anniversary of its release. This gives Apple two opportunities to release the 10th anniversary edition of the Apple Watch, and the company has already skipped the first. This September, I might skip the second skip.
To be fair, it appears that Apple had plans to release its 10th year Apple Watch band, but it appears the company has given up on it too.
Hardware and Software
It appears to be a major change to the next generation of the main Apple Watch line. In addition to the predictable S11 SIP chipset update, the biggest draw for the Apple Watch Series 11 must be software, not hardware-focused.
Apple is planning to debut an AI-based health coach that provides a comprehensive tailor-made health guide using data collected from Apple Watch and other sources. At the same time, the Watchos 12 is expected to adopt the same visual cues that iOS 19, Macos 19, and iPados 19 are destined to adopt from Visionos.
As for dimensions, the current 42/46mm option is already too big for some customers, so there is no chance of a size increase, but don’t rule out small bezel shavings of just a few pixels of screen dimensions.

Just like with the Apple Watch SE, it would be wise to bet on similar, similar price ranges to compensate for the uncertainty surrounding tariffs. The current Apple Watch line starts at $399, so don’t expect anything less.
Apple Watch Ultra 3
Last year, many people were hoping that Apple would unveil the Apple Watch Ultra 3, but they announced the satin black option for the Apple Watch Ultra 2. But this September, that may be different.
Hardware and Software
There were no reports that Apple plans to leave titanium with its new Apple Watch Ultra. So, like the Apple Watch Series 11, this year’s update will likely rely on new features as a differentiator to its predecessor.
According to Mark Gurman’s Leaks, the next-generation Apple Watch Ultra will achieve 5G connectivity, similar to hypertension detection.
The latter appears to work in the same way that Apple currently measures temperature and sleep apnea. Instead of providing real-time data, it provides overlooked, rough trends and alerts users when something is off.
Apple is also working to add an independent satellite message to the Apple Watch Ultra 3. This would be a welcome addition to those who endure Ultra’s sales proposals.

The Apple Watch Ultra 2 now starts at $799, which is very expensive. There is no indication that Apple will lower prices. Given the surprising tariff risk, they are unlikely to raise it either.
This model is probably the most stable in the lineup when it comes to pricing, but if there’s one thing you’ve learned over the past few months, it means nothing is set on stones.
